Come learn the basics of fishing including casting, knot tying, and fish identification with the Kaukauna High School Fishing Team. Volunteers will be on hand to teach basic skills and will also help you try your luck at fishing along the river bank. Registration is not required and visitors can stop by to take part any time.
We will have everything needed and will be giving out some basic lead-free fishing tackle to all participants while supplies last.
Everyone is invited to take part in the instruction, but you must be 15 or under to take part in the fishing activity unless you have a valid Wisconsin fishing license. All Wisconsin fishing regulations apply.
Want to enjoy your time fishing AND help a good cause? Any fish that are caught can be donated to The Feather Wildlife Rehabilitation. The Feather is always in need of fish to feed osprey and eagles in their care. Fish that are donated will be put on ice and transported to The Feather after the event.
