May 14, 2022 is recognized as World Migratory Bird Day, but here in Kaukauna, we are celebrating on Saturday, May 21st. Come visit 1000 Islands for some fun drop-in programs.
- Test your luck in a migration game on the boardwalk
- Borrow binoculars to walk the trails looking for some late migrants
- Visit some self-guided stations in the nature center
- Early visitors may even be able to enjoy some certified bird-friendly coffee!
Activities will be available from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 21.
The 2022 World Migratory Bird Day theme is to “Dim the Lights for Birds at Night” Visit the International Dark-Sky Association to learn more on how you can reduce the light pollution in your yard, neighborhood and wider community.
