Carol Mainville Van Boxtel, a native of Kaukauna, is a dedicated local historian and genealogist. She volunteers in the Local History Room at the Kaukauna Public Library and is passionate about preserving the written history of Kaukauna. Carol has authored numerous articles and short stories.  In recognition of her contributions, Carol received the 2017 Lillian Mackesy Historian of The Year Award from the Outagamie County Historical Society for three of her historical books.
