Welcome Sarah Ironside and Brad Garrity
Sarah is our new Assistant Naturalist here at 1000 Islands. She joined us this past winter and is very excited for the spring field trips to start and is also looking forward to teaching our summer classes and camps. Sarah grew up spending time at 1000 Islands and has a degree in Environmental Education and Interpretation from UW Stevens Point. Exploring the outdoors is her passion!
Brad recently joined 1000 Islands and is our new Site Manager. He has experience in wetland and prairie habitat restoration, invasive plant mitigation, trail maintenance, and ecological monitoring. 1000 Islands has been a treasured part of his life since his childhood and looks forward to being a good steward of the most beautiful piece of Kaukauna!
We are very excited to have Sarah and Brad with us. Please give them a warm welcome when you see them here at 1000 Islands.
A special thank you to Kym Carlson of Kymberly Carlson Photography for taking Brad and Sarah’s photos.
